66 -- SPECIAL OPEN SEASON FOR NEW TECHNOLOGIES FOR GROUP 66 II A UNDER SOL FCGS-X5-94-0039-1-N This is a special open season for solicitation FCGS-X5-94-0039-1-N for new technology SIN 66-1002 which has been added to Federal Supply Schedule 66 II A. This will be an open continuous (evergreen) special item number. Offers may be submitted at anytime. This requirement will be synopsized annually. A New Technology item may be described as an item (product or service) (1) that provides a new function/attribute/service, (2) is not currently in the supply system and would meet the needs of Government customers, or (3) that represents a signigicant improvement in function/attribute/service such that Government customers would be negatively impacted if said item were not immediately added to the schedule. New Technology SIN 66-1002 is intended for the temporary placement of of New Technology items which are related to items currently being procured under Federal Supply Schedule 66 II A, to which the New Technology items are being offered, and are not classifiable elsewhere in the Federal Supply System, until the items can be formally placed on an existing or newly created SIN in this schedule. This product must meet the special provisions as outlined below. Offers for New Technology items will be considered only under the following conditions: Offerors/contractors understand that the item must be offered under the appropriate SIN during the next regular open season/basic solicitation or it will be cancelled. It is the offerors/contractor's responsibility to be aware of the open season/basic solicitation issuance. New SINs established for New Technology items must meet established sales criteria or the SIN will be cancelled. All other terms and conditions of current contractors still apply.
