This announcement constitutes the only solicitation of this requirement, quotations are being requested and a written quotation will not be issued. This quotation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-2. The Television-Audio Support Activity proposes to procure one (1) each digital effects system; non-linear; Macintosh version with options. The system consists of: one (1) each MCX-MAC RT system software and boardset, AVR 71, 12 (0010-00650-01); one (1) each 110 volt MCX MAC country kit, NA only (P/N 0010-00484-02; one (1) each BETACAM video PCI kit (P/N 0010-00576-01); one (1) each standard effects kit (P/N 0010-00578-01); one (1) each PCI single channel single ended SCSI kit (P/N 0010-00583-01); one (1) each PCI 2-channel audio kit (P/N 0010-00588-01); one (1) each 20-inch hi-resolution bin monitor kit with multi-resolution cable (P/N 0070-00416-01); one (1) each Apple POWERMAC 9600/200 computer with 96MB RAM, 4GB internal hard disk drive, 12X CD-ROM (P/N M5461LLA); one (1) each extended Apple keyboard with function keys, numeric keypad, cursor arrow keys, special screen editing keys, and adjustable slope (P/N M0312); dual Roland self-powered speakers in white (P/N SPK-MA12CP); one (1) each Sony 20 inch Trinitron color monitor (P/N PVM-20M2U); two (2) each Mitsubishi 20 inch Diamondscan monitors (P/N THN9105TXM); and two (2) each 18GB fixed wide hard drives (P/N 0020-00381-01); includes one (1) year MCXPRESS MAC software maintenance agreement (P/N 0540-00254-01); and system configuration with testing (P/N CSI-CONFIG). The above cited manufacturer model number(s) are known to meet the specifications, however, they do not constitute the establishment of a standard of quality, nor are they to be considered the only product which will meet the specifications. Offerors proposing to supply Manufacturers/Models other than those specified in the notice are required to submit with their quotations specification data sheets of proposed models sufficient to enable the Government to determine their technical acceptability with the specifications stated above. Technical capability and past performance, when combined, are equal to price.
