49 -- PECULIAR SUPPORT EQUIPMENT (PSE) TO BE USED WITH THE F/A-18C/D SERVOCYLINDER TEST STATIONS SOL N68335-98-Q-0007 DUE 112097 POC K.R. Kiley Contract Specialist Code 2132KK, (732) 323-5197. Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for the FA-18C/D Servocylinder Test Station. This requirement is for five (5) Nose Wheel Torque Calibration Fixtures, P/N 87500222, five (5) Torque Calibration Fixtures, P/N 87500223, five (5) Force Calibration Fixtures, P/N 87500578-101, and five (5) Flow Calibration Fixtures, P/N 87500225. The acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. H.R. Textron, Inc., Pacoima, CA as the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the PSE to be acquired, is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary for the manufacture and the design/application requirements of the FA-18 PSE involved. Firms that recognize and produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note(s): 22. (0293)
