The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a provisioning order for one V-22 Flight Training Device (FTD) under contract N00019-96-C-0054 with Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, Bldg 3193, 22398 Elmer Rd. Patuxent River, MD 20670. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer and producer of the V-22 aircraft and is the only firm capable of providing the requisite technical data to the subcontractor who will design, fabricate and deliver a V-22 flight training device. Bell-Boeing has already competitively selected a subcontractor to build a V-22 Flight Training Device. Only Bell-Boeing posses the technical data, engineering expertise and the in depth knowledge of the design, manufacture, operational and performance characteristics of the V-22 aircraft to perform this effort.
