Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is conducting a market survey to
determine the existence of interested sources for the fabrication of
aluminum cabinets/lockers for use in stowage of self-contained
breathing apparatus (SCBA) and compressed breathing air cylinders
aboard ship. The Navy is seeking sources capable of manufacturing
aluminum lockers, as specified by detailed fabrication drawings already
developed by the Navy. Companies responding to this notice are
requested to supply all pertinent information and sufficient technical
documentation to establish a bonafide capability to manufacture
aluminum cabinets/lockers. Only written responses will be accepted. The
Government will not provide payment for any information provided in
response to this synopsis, nor will the Government return the data
provided. All data will be for official Government use only. This
announcement is a request for information and is not a Request for
Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or announcement of
solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the
Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An
award will not be made on offers/proposals received in response to this
notice. Qualified sources will be considered, should a solicitation be
issued. Responses are requested within 30 days after publication of
