mforte@pica.army.mil. The US Army TACOM/ARDEC intends to enter into a
sole source contract with Chamberlain Manufacturing Corporation to
fabricate 4340 sets of Projectile Metal Parts for Cartridge, 105mm Dual
Purpose Improved Conventional Munition (DPICM) XM915/916 in support of
Low Rate Initial Production. Each set of metal parts consists of the
following: a 4140 steel, one-piece, net shaped interior, scalloped body
and ogive with an overlay welded rotating band; a hard coat anodized
aluminum base; a 4140 steel support plate; an aluminum forward plate
with an integral molded rubber seal and an aluminum take-up sleeve and
adjusting ring. These parts must meet stringent dimensional and
performance requirements. Metallic plating, heat treatment and welding
are necessary. Respondents must have available skills, equipment,
facilities and applicable licenses/permits to perform necessary
manufacturing operations. Government owned equipment is not available.
A respondee must demonstrate that it has the capability to perform
these requirements within a tight schedule. See Numbered Notes 22 and
