This work will require dredging to depths of 14 feet or greater over channel widths of up to 150 feet with greater width at certain locations, and pumping of material to disposal areas over distances as great as 7500 feet and lifts up to 65 feet. The character of the material may range from fine silts to heavy sands and clays. This contract will be restricted to 20, 22 and 24 inch discharge diameter dredges with minimum horsepower of 2000, 2400 and 2800 respectively. Bid documents are available on or about 20 October 1996 at no cost. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
