12 -- PROJECTILE TRACKING SYSTEM SOL DAAE30-98-Q-0200 DUE 102497 POC Robert McMinn, Contract Specialist, 973-724-3504 WEB: US ARMY TACOM-ARDEC Procurement Network, http://procnet.pica.army.mil/procacts.htm. E-MAIL: Robert McMinn, rmcminn@pica.army.mil. The US Army TACOM-ARDEC is conducting a Market Survey for a projectile tracking system. Interested concerns should be able to provide a description of their tracking equipment as well as supporting data that demonstrates projectile tracking capabilities using interferometric technology. During a recent demonstration, 155mm projectiles were tracked to 18km in range to an accuracy of 0.3 mils and 5 meters in range. Potential contractors will be required to provide data showing comparable accuracies that were obtained from live fire tests using an existing system. Potential improvements are being sought for application to tracking and commanding a family of self-adjusting artillery and mortar projectiles. (0274)
