D -- SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES SOL 1425-97-SQ-81-92092 POC Ray Lewis, Contracting Officer, (303) 236-8040,X246 WEB: Acquisition and Assistance Services Home Page, http://www.usbr.gov/aamsden. E-MAIL: Contracting Officer's e-mail address, rlewis@do.usbr.gov. Concerns having the ability to furnish the following services are requested to give written notification, including a telephone number for a POC to the acquisition office listed in this notice within 15 calendar days from the date of synopsis. The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for support and maintenance of the PSDI Maximo product, both the basic code provided with the COTS software and the code customized by PSDI. It is the Bureau's belief that Project Software and Development, Inc. (PSDI), 20 University Road, Cambridge MA 02138, is the only firm that possesses unique knowledge of the Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System product. Maximo was purchased by the Bureau of Reclamation in May 1995 to automate the maintenance management activities at major power and water management facilities. Maximo has been modified and interfaced with other related Reclamation administrative systems to form the Reclamation Enterprise Maintenance Management system (REMMS). Maximo is the core softwarefor this system and as such it is critical that PSDI, the developer of Maximo and its associated customized Reclamation software, be closely involved with the maintenance and support of these products. PSDI currently is the only organization that is familiar with the extensive database, SQL, "C", bar-code, window, and functional changes that have been made to the REMMS package. PSDI has site-specific knowledge of the installation procedures and any special modifications that were performed. This is not a formal solicitation. However, concerns that respond shall provide detailed data concerning their capabilities and may request to receive a copy of the solicitation when and if it becomes available. This notice may represent the only official notice of such a solicitation. All sources responding to this synopsis shall submit information relating to business status, including identification as to whether they are small, large, minority-owned, and/or woman-owned. The small business size standard for this acquisition is $18.0 Million average annual receipts over the past three years. (0269)
