This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Format in FAR Subpart 12.6, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. II. This solicitation number N00600-97-Q- F231 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). All references to "offers" are understood to be "quotation". III. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 45. IV. "Small Business Set Aside" is hereby incorporated by reference. The standard industrial classification code is 7195 and the small size standard is 500. V. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: CLIN 0001: Reupholster and install raceway covers (1000 ft. estimate); CLIN 0002: Reupholster flipper doors and panels including fabric (84 ea - 24x26 panels -- color FR701, Rose Quartz), (24 ea.—46x62 panels, color FR701 Rose Quartz), (53 ea. -- 48" Flipper Doors, color FR701, Navy Accent), (22 ea. -- 24" Flipper Doors, color FR701 Navy Accent); CLIN 0003: Purchase and install Flipper Doors with fabric, 29 ea. -- 48" Wide Doors, part # - HMA274-48 from Compatico. The part and labor are to be covered by a 1 year warranty and the panels are to be covered by a 3 year warranty. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Detachment Washington intends to procure the CLIN'S listed above for the Bureau of Naval Personnel (UIC: N62980), 2 Navy Annex, Columbia Pike and Southgate Road, Washington, D.C. 20370. This requirement is only for the CLIN'S listed. VII. Delivery is to be made FOB DEST. to the Bureau of Naval Personnel, Arlington Navy Annex, Columbia Pike and Southgate Road, Arlington, VA. 20370. Acceptanc will be made at destination. VIII. FAR 52-212-1, Instruction to Offers-Commerical Items, is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. IX. Evaluation: The Govern- ment will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation/request for quotation to the responsible offeror whose quotation conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotation: (i) technical capability of the item/servece offered to meet the Government requirements and (ii) price. Technical is approximately equal to price in terms of evaluation. X. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the pro- vision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its written quotation. XI. FAR 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Item is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition and resulting purchase order. The following terms and conditions are added as an addendum to this clause: Type of Purchase Order. The resulting purchase order will be a firm-fixed price purchase order.
