Cincinnati, OH 45268 66 -- COMBUSTION ANALYSIS SYSTEMS SOL RFQ 97-45 POC Antoinette Clay
E-MAIL: US EPA Cincinnati Contracts Management Division,
clay.antoinette@epamail.epa.gov. The U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency's Office of National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions
Laboratory/Advanced Technology and Support Division has a requirement
for three new engine combustion analysis systems that meet the
following requirements: (1) Portable (easily moved from cell to cell);
(2) Stand-alone (doesn't need to be part of larger capacity data
acquisition system); (3) Input of engine geometries to perform
thermodynamic calculations specific to that engine; (4) Input of
varying in-cylinder pressure and shaft encoder signals to perform
thermodynamic performance calculations; (5) Calculates at a minimum
brake and indicated mean effective pressures, pressure versus crank
angle traces, P-V diagrams, and burn duration; (6) Flexible enough to
allow the input of other fast signals not limited to in-cylinder
pressure; (7) 8-channel input at a minimum; (8) individual
analog/digital converter for each input channel; (9) 2 million samples
per second per channel (2 Msample Dynamic RAM); (10) Upgradable to
real-time processing; (11) Equipped with PC workstation with a 200 MHz
pentium processor, 32 Mbyte RAM, 3.2 Gbyte EIDE hard drive, 12X EIDE
CD-ROM drive, 17" High Resolution SVGA monitor, and Microsoft Windows
95 to be integrated with each high-speed combustion analysis system;
(12) Delivered to EPA's NVFEL laboratory located at 2565 Plymouth Road,
Ann Arbor, MI 48105; (13) Delivered within 12 weeks after receiving
order; (14) Equipped with set of operational manuals; (15) Systems set
up and proven to be functioning properly by vendor at EPA's NVFEL
laboratory. All interested parties should submit a request in writing
to Antoinette Clay at the above address or by fax (513-366-2107).
