Non-personal services to provide Aircraft Maintenance services to support the Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT), Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT), and Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) missions of the 14th Flying Training Wing (FTW) at Columbus AFB MS. Functions will include, but are not limited to, maintenance of T-37B, T-38A, AT-38B, and T-1A aircraft, and associated ground support equipment. Additionally, transient aircraft support, preservation of assigned historical/static display aircraft, off-station and Eastern Region aircraft recovery support, and munitions operation support shall be provided. The period of performance is anticipated to begin with mobilization on 1 Sep 98 to 30 Sep 98 and the basic period from 1 Oct 98 to 30 Sep 99 with six one-year pre-priced option periods and an additional six-month option to extend services beyond the contracted period. Total performance period not to exceed 91 months. A fixed-price incentive (firm target) type contract with award fee feature is contemplated. A source selection will be conducted in accordance with AFFARS Appendix BB to the Federal Acquisition Regulation approximately from 29 May 97 through 26 Jun 98. The source selection authority is the only person with authority to release information regarding an ongoing source selection. Tentative RFP issuance date is 20 Oct 97 with a technical data packages and cost proposals due on 16 Jan 98 and oral proposal presentations tentatively scheduled from 3 -20 Feb 98. A preproposal conference at Columbus AFB MS is tentatively scheduled for 29 Oct 97. This procurement is unrestricted.
