It is the intend of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan to negotiate a service contract with Computerized Medical Systems for the Treatment Planning System. A Computerized Medical Systems, (CMS) FOCUS 9200 Radiation Therapy 2-D and 3-D Treatment Planning System with MRI/CT Interface consisting of two (2) Hewlett Packard-based workstations. Each workstation consists of a high-resolution with 64 bit CPU and floating point math coprocessor, SPEC int92 109-119, SPEC fp 131-168, 128Mb RAM memory, 3-D accelerator for high-performance 3-D graphics, 4.0 Gb hard disk drive, 4.0Gb DAT tape drive, high-resolution videographics display unit (19") 1280 X 1024 resolution with 24 plane color buffer, Spaceball (TM) graphics control device, HP 8-pen plotter, Shinko A-B video printer, Seiko A video printer, HP LaserJet 5MP printer, backlighted electomagnetic digitizing tablet, 9600 baud modem with auto-dial and auto-answer, EtherNet(TM) transceiver and system software which includes: UNIX (TM) operating system, EtherNet(TM) TCP/IP, RTP system software provided under a Program License Agreement. The service contract will provide 24 hours/7days a week service, including time, materials, software upgrades, and replacement parts. All work shall be performed by individuals with documented manufacturer's training for the indicated equipment. Proof of training must be documented and included in bid package. All parts used for servicing the equipment will be approved by Computerized Medical Systems as suitable for use with this equipment. Because of the integrated assembly of the described equipment and the interrelated operation of the component parts, equipment malfunctions may simultaneously involve several listed components and the contract must be for comprehensive service for all items listed. The contract period will be for one year, commencing September 26, 1997 through September 25, 1998. See Numbered Notes: 22 & 23. (0260)
