E-MAIL: ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES TO SUPPORT THE SECOND GENERATION HORIZONTAL TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION (HTI) FORWARD LOOKING INFRARED (FLIR) LOW RATE INITIAL PRODUCTION (LRIP) CONTRACT, manganar@doim6.monmouth.army.mil. This acquisition is for engineering and technical services to support the Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) of the Second Generation Horizontal Technology Integration (HTI) Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) Systems. Specifically, this acquisition will procure all the necessary engineering and technical support, integrated logistics support, configuration management, depot maintenance services, support to the platform contractors, prime item software maintenance, and support to Government conducted testing and demonstrations. Negotiations with Hughes Aircraft Company, Electro-Optical Systems, El Segundo, California, the co-developer and current manufacturer of the Second Generation HTI FLIR, are anticipated. Time and Material line items shall be added to the HAC Firm Fixed Price LRIP contract for a one year basic period of performance with four one year option periods. Contract award is projected for January 1998 and a draft statement of work is anticipated for release in October 1997.
