J -- HMMWV REMANUFACTURING POC POC: Dave Greer (810) 574-7250 The remanufacaturing effort is planned as a five-year effort to extend the useful service life of and provide operational and safety improvements to the current fleet of HMMWV vehicles. vehicles will be disassembled and inspected, and their usable components cleaned and/ or refurbished. parts that are not economical to repair will be replaced with new parts in accordance with the technical data package. the government will receive one remanufactured vehicle provided to the contractor. the remanufacturing effort also includes systems technical support (STS) for the entire HMMWV fleet, and interim contractor logistics supply (icls). STS is planned as a separate COST-PLUS-FIXED-FEE line item to the contract. The icls is also planned as a separate line item to the contract. icls will be for parts that are unique to the remanufactured HMMWV and introduced under the contract. The icls effort will be for the first three years after initial fielding of the remanufactured hmmwvs with an option for an additionaltwo years. a markeet survey and an updated draft of the system specification is available for review at the PM light tactical vehicle web site: WWW.PMLTV.COM.
