59 -- LOW RATE INITIAL PRODUCTION (LRIP) FOR AN/WLY-1 SYSTEMS SOL N00024-97-R-6113 POC A.R. Ketchum, Contracting Officer, SEA 02612, (703) 602-7707 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a sole source solicitation to Northrop Grumman Norden Systems, Inc., 75 Maxess Road, Melville, NY 11747 under the authority of U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). The scope of this effort will include the production of up to four (4) AN/WLY-1 Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Systems. Northrop Grumman Norden Systems, Inc., is the sole development contractor for the AN/WLY-1. Northrop Grumman Norden Systems, Inc., is the only company which possesses the knowledge, tooling, and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described herein. No other supplies or services will satisfy the Navy's requirements. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein.
