or facsimile 875-6292 The Department of State, Office of Foreign
Buildings Operations (A/FBO), is seeking to pre-qualify offerors for
construction of the Consular Annex Building and renovation of the lobby
and MSG Post -1 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The proposed project entails
a consular and office-space one (1) story building addition,
approximately 762.6 square meters, and renovation of the lobby and MSG
Post -1 to the existing Chancery Building located on the U.S.
Consulate Compound in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The project will include
the new one-story annex office with connector to the existing chancery,
driveway and parking lot modifications, and site utilities. The
Chancery will remain fully operational during the entire length of
construction. The performance period from contract execution to project
completion is approximately 12 months. The contract type will be a
firm-fixed price and the project's estimated value is between
$1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Prospective offerors, both U.S. firms and
foreign firms, must meet the following pre-qualification criteria and
provide details of their qualifications in writing in order to be
pre-qualified and receive the solicitation: A) Demonstrate the ability
to successfully finance a project of this magnitude, including the
ability to obtain the necessary bonding and insurance for a project of
this size; B) Demonstrate experience in completing similar
construction/renovation type projects between $1,000,000 and
$2,000,000; C). Demonstrate successful building construction on
projects similar in value and complexity which were performed outside
the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii; D). Demonstrate
satisfactory performance on a similar U.S. Government contract, if any;
Although previous or ongoing performance of a U.S. Government contract
is not a requirement, if such contracts have been performed, the
Contractor must have satisfactorily performed said contracts. No
