Z -- OPENED-ENDED ASBESTOS ABATEMENT CONTRACT SOL IFB 662-97-97 DUE 103097 POC Daryl Hanson (415) 750-2172 Contractor to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, disposal fees, and supervision necessary for the removal of various asbestos containing and asbestos contaminated materials based on an open-ended indefinite quantity fixed price contract. No guaranteed minimum is stated or implied. Types of asbestos containing and asbestos contaminated materials include but not limited to floor tile; pipe insulation; ceiling systems; and wall systems. Although this contract shall be awarded based on price and price-related factors, the successful Contractor must possess all required federal, state, and local licenses and be a certified asbestos abatement contractor. All work shall be performed at the DVA Medical Center, 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, California in strict accordance with the specifications. Drawings shall be provided after award on a project by project basis. Contractor must be able to respond to the needs of the medical center within forty-eight (48) hours after being contacted by the VA's Safety Officer or his/her designee. Estimated annual magnitude of this proposed contract is $25,000 -- $100,000. Issue date of solicitation shall be on or about September 30, 1997. No formal site visit has been scheduled. All requests for solicitations must be made in writing and include a non-refundable check or money order in the amount of $25 to cover the costs of reproduction. (0253)
