This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F4169197Q0999 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-43. The SIC code is 3572, Computer Storage Devices, with a size standard of 1000. 12 CONS/LGCX intends to purchase a requirement to upgrade the memory storage (from 12" reel-to-reel tape to a cartridge tape system) on the Time Related Information Management (TRIM) Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) subsystem at the following five site locations: Randolph AFB, TX; Laughlin AFB, TX; Sheppard AFB, TX; Columbus AFB, MS; and Vance AFB, OK. Offerors must provide and install one complete unit of the following equipment at each of the site locations listed above: MMSI-SC4 -- SC4 Controller W/Diff PB, 354MB SCSI Disk Drive, Disc Table Top Enclosure, DTC06 SCSI Cable, Manufacturer Integration/Test Shipping, BMX2 Controller, 5GB FH SCSI Exabyte 8500 Tape Drive, and PERTEC Interface SCSI Emulation W/Enclosure. A one-year extended warranty is required for equipment and installation. Interested parties capable of providing the above must submit written price and technical proposals providing firm evidence of their ability to perform. Award will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures; therefore, the evaluation procedures at FAR 13.106-2 will be used. All responses will be considered.
