Contract Specialist, (202)324-5818 The Federal Bureau of Investigation
(FBI) has a need for Special Investigators (SIs) to conduct background
investigations (BIs) on applicants for potential employment with the
FBI and other government agencies. SIs will also conduct updated
reinvestigations on current Federal employees. BIs shall consist of,
but are not limited to, interviewing candidates, neighborhood and
employment verification, interviews of references and associates, and
various record checks. The SI must be a former Federal investigator who
was previously employed in an official capacity as an investigator with
a Federal agency. Expertise in conducting BIs is mandatory. Candidates
who meet these requirements must forward their qualifications for FBI
consideration. The FBI intends to enter into Basic Ordering Agreements
with qualified candidates. The number of agreements issued will be on
an as needed basis. A Basic Ordering Agreement is not a contract and
only sets forth the terms and conditions that will apply to any future
work.The current labor-hour rate which will be included in all BOA's
is $26.00 per hour. Any travel expenses incurred for official business
will be reimbursed by the FBI in accordance with the Federal Travel
Regulation. All qualification information should be forwarded to
