The plates must be able to defeat and provide shock absorption from a minimum of four strikes of the following types of standard ammunition: 5.45 x 39 mm Russian (AK74), 5.56 x 45 mm SS109, 7.62 x 51 mm NATO/M80 AP, 7.62 x 54 mm LPS Russian (Draganov), 7.62 x 39 mm AP-I type 56, 5.56 x 45 mm Bofors & GIAT PPA, and 7.62 x 51 mm AP M61 at velocities of not less than their respective muzzle velocities. These results must be substantiated from tests performed in compliance with N.I.J.C. 0101.03. All other terms and conditions of the RFP remain unchanged. (0251)
