U -- THE BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS IS SEEKING SOURCES CAPABLE OF PREPARING COURSE-WARE AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS TO TEACH TWO ADP DEMONSTRATION COURSES. COURSES WILL TEACH ATTENDEES HOW TO MAINTAIN AND SUPPORT SPECIFIC HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE AT THEIR AGENCY LOCATIONS. SOL 1450-K00-97-010 DUE 091997 POC Sharon L. Marianito, Contracting Officer, 505/248-6313; Ken Russell, Technical point of contact, 505/766-3500 The Bureau of Indian Affairs seeks vendors capable of preparing course-ware and instructional/reference materials, and to teach two (2) ADP demonstration courses. The strategy is to train selected agency staff on specific software and hardware necessary to maintain core ADP services at their agencies. Core ADP services consist of configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software. The standard hardware and software consist of the following (variations are noted): Servers: Novell 3.12, some 4.11; Server backup: Arcserve 5.x and 6.x with 2-4 gig 4mm drives; Personal Computers: Win 95 and Windows for Workgroups 3.11 with Novell Client Software; Cabling: 10Base T; Routers: Cisco 250x; Hubs: Cabletron; WAN Protocols: IPX for Novell, TCP/IP for Internet; Printing: HP Jet Direct for Networks, some Novell with Pconsole; Electronic Mail: CC-Mail Postoffices DB6, 7,8. Clients 6,7,8 for windows; Mainframe Access: IBM (NS 3270 emulation, from NetSoft, Inc.), UNISYS A-17-Telnet (VT100). Server training will be limited to basic administration tasks: establishing new users, resetting passwords, setting up groups, backing up the server, etc. In response to this sources sought: 1. The vendor must possess and prove experience in developing and teaching courses stated. 2. Course Writers and Instructors must provide industry certification in hardware and software related to this project. 3. Provide general training plan based on information contained in this sources sought notice. Vendors are encouraged to present alternate plans. Vendors shall also indicate their type of business, and whether they are Native American-Owned and Operated.
