COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 9,1997 PSA#1926Tennessee Valley Authority, Procurement, 1101 Market Street,
Chattanooga, TN 37402 D -- SYSTEM HEALTH AUTOMATED ROPORT PROGRAM (SHARP) SOL Request for
Info DUE 091897 POC J. David Carroll, (423) 751-3364 The Tennessee
Valley Authority's Nuclear Division (TVAN) is requesting proposals for
information planning purposes only for a System Health Automated
Report Program (SHARP) with integration of status panel, maintenance
rule and failure trending. This is NOT a Request for Proposal and no
award will be made as a result of this Request for Information (RFI).
The results of the RFI may or may not result in a RFP. TVAN is
requesting information on products which address (in whole or in part)
the automation of producing a Nuclear Unit Systems Health Report on a
Quarterly Basis (with Site Status Panels refreshed on a daily basis),
automates Maintenance Rule Performance Indicator Monitoring, Trending,
and Reporting requirements per 10CFR50.65, and provides Component
Failure Trending on a regular basis and upon request. This software
must include Gateways between multiple DBMS (Data Base Management
System) including DB2, ORACLE, S2K, MODEL 204, VSAM, and Microsoft
EXCEL,ACCESS, and FOXPRO. It is the intent of TVAN to use a data driven
approach to solve this problem with data residing in operational data
bases and extracted through a table of pointers on a prescribed
schedule. This data would be processed to provide the required
information. Reporting requirements are for TVAN middle to upper
management with presentations using color coded indicators, flexible
data rollups and graphical trending analysis. Vendors interested in
receiving more detailed information on this request may e-mail Steve
Anderson at saanders@tva.gov. (0248) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0030 19970909\D-0009.SOL)
