This is a comibined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. 2. Kelly Air Force Base intends to acquire on a sole source basis IAW FAR 6.302-1 a Express Exchange Maintenance for the Schlumberger Technologies Model S645 (includes hardware and software maintenance) from Schlumberger Automatic Test Equipment of San Jose California. Schlumberger is the only vendor capable of providing this service due to the Schlumberger test system being a proprietary product. 3. This purchase order is for services which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 6.302-1. Award of a firm fixed price service purchase order is the expected result of this acquisition action. The Standard Industrial Code is 7378. 4. Requirement -- Express Exchange Maintenance for the Schlumberger Technologies Model S645 (including hardware and softwar e maintenance). 5. Performance period is from 01 Oct 97 to 30 Sep 98. 6. The following FAR clauses and provisions apply: 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 to include 52.212-5(b)(6),(7),(8),(9), and (16). Addendum to FAR 52.212-1: Reference FAR 52.212-1, Paragraph(c) is hereby tailored as follows: (c) Period for acceptance of offers.
