Replace deteriorated or missing insulation on steam lines, headers and valves in boiler room. No asbestos containing material was found during design, but if asbestos containing material is found during construction, contractor shall stop work and inform the Contracting Officer immediately. Remove and reinstall equipment, pipes, architectural and structural members as required to facilitate removal of existing deaerator tank assembly and installation of new deaerator tank assembly. Provide and install controls, wiring, pipes to connect new deaerator tank and boiler feed water pump assembly to existing boiler controls. Test and start up the system. This project is being issued under the simplified acquisition procedures. The solicitation is unrestricted and open to all interested firms. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Standard Industrial Code is 1711. For purposes of completing the Representations and Certifications issued with the specification, any concern submitting a bid is classified as "small" if its annual receipts for its preceding three fiscal years do not exceed $7,000,000. Bid and Performance Bonds are not required; however, a Payment Bond will be required after award as specified in the solicitation.
