The Lowry Economic Redevelopment Authority (LRA) is soliciting sealed bids for a unit price contract for installation of asphalt pavement along approx. two (2) miles of 24'-wide roadway. Bid will include an alternative for 1.25 miles of concrete paving. Location is the former Lowry Air Force Base, Denver, Colorado. Priorities in the Work Schedule are Fairmount Boulevard Phase 2, Academy Parkway, and First Ave. West; other segments scheduled at Owner's discretion. Invitation for Bids Number (IFB#) 10-BUSC-PAVE is for the LOWRY BUSINESS CENTER LOOP ROAD PROGRAM, ASPHALT PAVEMENT INSTALLATION. This project will be partially funded with Federal funds through the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Dept. of Commerce (EDA Project No. 05-49-02954), and will be subject to all Federal requirements and regulations. The work will be subject to the prevailing wage rates and to the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements established by the U.S. Dept. of Labor. The estimated price range of construction for this phase of the project is between $500,000.00 and $1 million. The overall time for completion of all work is one hundred eighty (180) days in multiple milestones after official Notice to Proceed (possible remobilizations if needed). Bid package (IFB) will be available on or about 09/26/97, with the closing date as stated in the IFB (o/a 10/17/97). Anticipate NTP o/a 11/03/97. DATES TENTATIVE AT THIS TIME. Construction drawings and specifications will be available at the LRA offices at the above address; and at 4 Plans Rooms in the Denver/Front Range area. A non-refundable bid document fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) is required for each set of bid documents, checks made payable to Lowry Redevelopment Authority. All prospective bidders are invited and encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference (not mandatory) and site inspection visit scheduled for 9:00 a.m. 10/01/97 at the LRA offices. All qualified responsible sources, who are interested and are in a position to satisfy the above requirements, must submit a written request for the IFB to the LRA's Procurement Program Manager at the above address; fax requests to (303) 343-9078.
