Cox, Negotiator, (703) 325-1196, Scott G. Morton, Contracting Officer,
(703) 325-1200 This effort will provide an improved fallout predictive
capability by developing and validating improved microphysical models,
including both early, hot processes, such as ablation, erosion,
condensation, and coagulation, and cold microphysical process to
include the important water/ice scavenging mechanisms neglected in
current fallout models. The work requires utilization of specific
computational tools, i.e. the OMEGA and TASS meterological codes and
RAM activation code and MAZe code. These capabilities are highly
specialized and specifically required to integrate the current effort
with the HPAC tool set, a key goal of this effort. The knowledge base
and experience level required for proper performance under this effort
are critical to its successful execution. The Defense Special Weapons
Agency (DSWA) intends to award a sole source contract to Titan
Corporation for the above services on the basis that Titan possesses
the prerequisite knowledge and background for satisfactory performance.
