Simplified Acquisition purchase from Lake Shore Inc. of Iron Mountain,
MI to provide an updated Interim Support Item List (ISIL) of
manufacture's part numbers, updated list of cage codes for each part
number, recommended quantities for each part number (including lengths,
sizes and numbers, as applicable), the list and a copy of each Lake
Shore Specification Control Drawing for each part number (as
applicable). The contractor must also provide one (1) kit of systems
hardware components with the updated ISIL for the U.S. Army's MCF
powered sections. There are five hundred and twenty six (526) line
items required, of the 526 items listed in the ISIL, two hundred and
fifty six (256) line items have national stock numbers (NSN), these
items will also need to be updated. Parts substitutions are acceptable
as long as the part(s) meet or exceed current physical, mechanical,
chemical and performance specifications. A list must be submitted to
indicate which partsare being substituted, the Volpe Center must
approve all substitutions. The contractor must be fully familiar with
the current floating causeway systems and will be required to
demonstrate their capability and knowledge. The contractor shall verify
that parts meet all approved drawings and conform to good design and
manufacturing practices. Small Business firms classified under SIC Code
3731 interested in proposing on this requirement MUST demonstrate in
writing no later than 15 days from the date of this CBD publicationthat
they (1) have access and are able to provide an updated list of the
systems hardware components, including recommended quantities for each
part number (including lengths, sizes and numbers, as applicable), the
list and a copy of each Lake Shore Specification Control Drawing for
each part number (as applicable); (2) can provide one kit of systems
hardware components from the updated ISIL. Small Business firms will be
required to submit documentation in support of the above for evaluation
by the Government prior to receiving a quotation. A single award will
result from this solicitation. No telephone requests will be accepted
-- only written requests for this solicitation will be accepted --
however, we will accept requests for this solicitation via facsimile,

informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Business and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has
a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business
enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
