A -- DATA ANALYSIS-MAINTENANCE, PROGRAMMING TO SUPPORT UPBEAT PROGRAM AT VA WEST LOS ANGELES SOL RFP691-98-97 DUE 091897 POC Jewel Jackson, Contract Specialist, (310) 268-3755 The Va Medical Center West Los Angeles intends to negotiate a Sole Source procurement with UCLA School of Public Health to provide statistical support to the National UPBEAT Program which will include the following services: Statistical consulting, data analysis, which includes calculating descriptive statistics and to be available for statistical questions and analyses required; computer programming, includes programming major revision of UPBEAT software to correct bugs and to respond to request by all ten (10) sites in the UPBEAT Program; Cleaning and maintaing data, includes maintaining regular systematic checks of data quality, checking data for duplication and erroneous input, and training on the use of the software to ensure accurate information is available for input into the database. Contractor shall deliver a functioning computer program designed for generating a list of patients who meet the UPBEAT Program's universial eligibility criteria for entering the UPBEAT Program. The criteria will take into account pre-existing medical conditions, as well as current diagnoses and other factors which would optimize the benefits of participating in the UPBEAT Program.
