70 -- MICROSOFT OFFICE SOFTWARE TRAINING SOL N68095-98-Q-3000 DUE 091297 POC Pandora Brunsdon, Purchasing Agent, 360-478-9460 STATEMENT OF WORK: Contractor shall furnish all necessary personnel and materials to evaluate training needs at Naval Hospital Bremerton(NHB) and to provide formal classroom training to employees of NHB, HP01 Boone Rd, Bremerton WA 98312-1898 in accordance with the Statement of Work. Training will be conducted at NHB, in the PC Training Room. The room is furnished with twelve personal computers, a printer, and one personal computer for the instructor, an overhead projector and LCD panel, and a projection screen. SPECIFICATIONS: Furnish all necessary materials (Course workbooks, samples files, handouts, etc.) and perform basic, intermediate and advanced level training classes in the following subjects, most current versions (or those versions in use at NHB, which change as software is updated). Cost will include all preparation and travel time, including customized classes. In the case of customized classes, NHB will provide a briefing of course objectives and access (for familiarization) with the appropriate software 10 working days in advance of the scheduled training. NHB reserves the right to add or delete classes from this list: Microsoft (MS) NT workstation, MS Windows for Workgroups, MS Windows 95, MS Windows 98, MS Word for Windows, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point, MS Outlook, SmarTerm for Windows, SmarTerm Essentials, MS Explorer, Welcome Back to Network (NT 4.0 and Windows 3.11), other packages as acquired. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS: For each class taught, students will sign in and provide their Name, Social Security Number and Department. Contractor will distribute and collect student pre and post evaluations at the completion of each class and will submit copies of these along with summary statistics to the training coordinator no later than 4 working days after the class. Contractor will distribute a certificate of course completion to all students who complete courses preferable at the end of each course but no later than within 2 weeks of course completion. ASSESSMENT: Contractor will provide training to the Training Coordinator on the use of assessment software and customization of such software for NHB ongoing needs. Contractor will furnish telephone support for all trainees at the time of each of their first independent in-house assessment. FREQUENCY AND LENGTH OF CLASSES: Contractor will provide 60 classes per year, each 6 1/2 -- 8 hours in length unless a customized class is requested by NHB for a specific length. Each class will hold up to 12 students. All courses must be taught using the current release of the software package within 45 days of the release date if the most current release is in use at NHB. TELEPHONE SUPPORT: Contractor will furnish support for all students in applications taught to them under this contract for a period of 6 months after final day of applicable class. A written document stating this and the procedure to be followed will be provided to each student along with the Certificate of Completion. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation of training prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included are being requested and a writted solicitation will NOT be issued.
