NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Telemetry Receiver Base Chassis, Microprocessor Controlled with Video Filters: .1, .5, 1, 1.5, 2 Mhz plus bypass; Model 1400 MRA, RF Tuner 2185-2485 Mhz Tuning Range, Model 1415 VT(E); RF Tuner 1700-2300 Mhz Tuning Range, Model 14716C; Multimode Digital DSP Demodulator, Model 1458-D, IF Filter w/4 Select Bandwidths., .5, 2, 4, 10 Mhz, Model 1420-I(4). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Microdyne Corporation, 491 Oak Road, Ocala, FL 34472. Microdyne is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the required chassis with components. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 5 days from the publication date of this synopsis on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) to submit in writing their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
