FISC San Diego is issuing a notice of intent to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented in accordance with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The soliciation number is N00244-97-Q-A788. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This is an unrestricted procurement, SIC code 3694. The item being requested is as follows: thirty-nine (39) each 24 volt Bosch starters for an Iveco boat engine, mdl #8061SRM30-10. The Bosch part number is 04755108. FOB destination prices are required. Delivery shall be made to Special Boat Unit 12, NAB Coronado, CA. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, paragraph (b)(5): Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public. Express warranties shall be included in the contract.
