Sources Sought Synopsis. HQ AFSOC is seeking potential sources to train
military aircrew to operate the CASA 212. The effort is estimated to be
six months in duration. The requirement is to provide flight training
for aircrew qualification and continuation flights to develop aircrew
proficiency. Ground/systems qualification training is not part of this
requirement. The esimated need is 30-40 flight hours per month. The
aircraft is to operate out of Hurlburt Fld, Fl. However, the contractor
will house, refuel, and maintain the aircraft at another location of
the contractor's choice. As such, there will be minimal impact on USAF
logistics and operations activities. A monthly/weekly schedule of
operations will need to be developed in coordination with the using
activity. On the coordinated date/time, the aircraft and instructor
will arrive at Hurlburt Fld. After appropriate mission planning, the
flight will proceed and return for offload/debrief. The aircraft will
then depart Hurlburt Fld. and return to location of contractor's
choice. Course of instruction will include IMC and VMC basic
qualification maneuvers (takeoff, approach, and landing), simulated
emergency procedures, and personnel (static and free fall) and static
line bundle air drops. Responses to the sources sought synopsis should
be sent to this office or faxed to (850) 884-2476. AFSOC is under no
obligation to pay for any material provided. This is not a request for
proposal and may not result in a future contract. (0238) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0114 19970828\U-0003.SOL)
