NASA/GSFC released Request for Proposal (RFP)5-02520/427 (formerly referred to as RFP5-02520/361) for the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) N-Q Spacecraft procurement on August 25, 1997 to the following companies: Hughes Space and Communications, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space and Space Systems/Loral. Proposals are due on September 24, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. local time. The draft solicitation was synopsized on April 3, 1997 and contained a requirement for capability statements. Only these three prime offerors complied with this requirement. All documents relating to this RFP may be accessed electronically, except for the Instrument Interface Control Documents.
