Anderson 816-426-7267, ext. 240 The U.S. Department of Commerce,
International Trade Administration (ITA) is acquiring support services
to the Director of Commerce's Domestic Office in Buffalo, New York.
The Contractor shall be required to provide specialized information
systems support and research services in support of Commerce's local
Domestic Export Assistance Office. Duties include but are not limited
to; 1) Information Resource Applications to include the research into
databases and other electronic media to support trade professional;
develop charts and tables via manipulation, formatting and printing
economic/trade data and statistics; assemble, package and distribute
data compilations and information; and conduct electronic/multimedia
basic research on a case-by-case basis, 2) LAN Oversight to include
execute designated on-site LAN Systems Administration Functions;
provide new user training and assistance; provide continuing user
assistance support; and participate in EAC Automation
Review/Evaluation/Planning teams. The software environment in which the
tasks shown are to be performed consists of; LOTUS 123/LOTUS Notes;
Word Perfect/Windows; PC Anywhere; Harvard Graphics; and WAN/LAN
Systems Software. Contractors will be required to submit a resume or
comparable material documenting the contractor's skills and abilities
as they relate to the statement of work. Supporting documentation shall
also be provided and consist of; 1) a writing sample not to exceed 2
pages which demonstrates an ability to formulate an area/issue for
analysis and includes in the text or as an appendix presentation of
data in graph or table format to support analysis or conclusions, 2)
Three charts or tables generated from the National Trade Data Bank or
other source of trade-related data to demonstrate the applicant's
ability to print and format information, 3) A list of the software and
hardware with which the applicant is proficient, including training
completed and extent of applicant's use of hardware/software. The
contractor shall work 8 hour days Monday through Friday except Federal
Holidays. Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm. Period of performance is
10/01/97 through 09/30/98 with an additional two (2), 12 month- option
periods. Requests for Quotes (RFQ) will be available on or about
September 8, 1997 and will be due by COB September 17, 1997. All
requests for the RFQ must be in writing. Requests may be faxed to

acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All responsible
