Herchak, Contacting Officer The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to negotiate solely with Ameritech Corp. in Provo, Utah, for an Horizon Automated Library System for the Eastern Regional Research Center in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. This system must be 100% compatible with existing Horizon Automated Library Systems currently in use at other major ARS research centers due to the requirement to directly search, exchange data, and request documents from other ARS libraries on-line and shall include a fully integrated library software package with a proven track record in implementing online public access catalog; cataloging and authority control with mechanism to import records directly from OCLC, acquisitions, serials, and circulation. Companies with the demonstrated ability to provide and maintain this system must submit a written substantive statement specifically defining the company's and system's capabilities to the CO's office within 15 days of this notice.
