Z -- NORTH JETTY REHABILITATION, PONCE DE LEON INLET, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA SOL DACW17-97-B-0024 DUE 110497 POC Contract Specialist Griselle Gonzalez (904) 232-3972 (Site Code DACW17) The project work consists of constructing a scour apron that will extend along an 800-foot length on the south side of the north jetty between stations 45+00 and 53+00; in addition, jetty stone will be replaced along portions of this reach in order to restore the jetty side slope to no steeper than 1 vertical to 1.5 horizontal. The scour apron will consist of a 24-inch bedding stone layer (approximately 4,000 tons) and a 36-inch armor stone layer (approximately 8,600 tons). The jetty stone replacement will require approximately 2,400 tons. All construction will be performed from floating plants. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000, 000 to $5,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on about 15 Aug 97. Invitation DACW17-97-B-0024 will be issued on about 10 Sept 97 and opened on or about 04 Nov 97. Cost of Plans and Specifications is $40.00.
