Ellis (804) 675-5483 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia intends to negotiate a sole source procurement, under the authority of FAR 6.302, with Behring Diagnostics, 17 Chubb Way, Somerville, NJ 08876 for the acquisition of reagents needed to perform immunoassays on proteins that will be tested on the Behring Nephelometer 100 currently in operation. Reagents must be compatiabale with the equipment currently in operation. Contractor must be able to provide protein standards for all analytes listed below using IFCC values to generate calibration curves for the following proteins: Alpa 1 Antitrypsin, C3, C4, IGA, IGG, IGM, Haptoglobin, Prealbumin, Transferrin, Retinol Binding Protein, ASL and Rheumtoid factors. Three level controls must be available standadized to IFCC values for these analytes. Protein standards must also be available for the following proteins: C-reactive Protein, ASL and Rheumtoid factor. Two level controls must be available for these analytes. Interested parties should submit proposals within 15 days of this publication. If no responses are submitted within 15 days of this notice, the VAMC Richmond will negotiate directly with Behring Diagnostic. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may submit their proposals to the above address.
