011-351-555401000-21459 This is a continuation of Line items for this
solicitations. Item 0003: 130 each, MMDS Wireless Cable Broadcast
System Receiver. Unit shall receive a microwave signal in the 2.5-2.7
GHz range, convert the signal to VHF, split the signal into the
original signal 5 VHF channels for distribution, and distribute the VHF
channels via coaxial cable to an existing distribution box. Receiver
system must be able to accomodate reception, conversion, and
distribution of up to 32 channel, to allow for future expansion. Output
impedance of converter to be ohms. System is to utilize 110 VAC, single
phase,60 Hz (with capability to run on 50 Hz) power. Converter,
antenna, and external cable to be weather proof. Antenna dish shall not
exceed 30 inches in diameter and be able to withstand 120 mph winds.
All electrical components and cabling are to be UL listed. All
components are to be commercially available so that local stores can
stock all neccessary receiver equipment to allow additional customers
to receive MMDS Wireless Cable Broadcastin System signal being
transmitted by main transmitter and repeaters. Contractor shall provide
5 (five) sets, including all applicable manuals, of technical and
repair data for the receiver equipment. Minimum one year guarantee on
materials and workmanship of receiver beginning after the system is
successfully installed and tested. Item 0004: 1 each, Installation of
MMDS Wireless Cable Broadcast System Transmitter (Item 0001).
Contractor shall install transmission equipment, excluding antenna, in
site provided by Government (see drawings S-1 and S-2) for location.
Ample 110 VAC outlets will be provided. Antenna shall be mounted at top
of existing 100 ft tower. Tower is constructed 2 3/4 inch tubular steel
and currently has FM and VHF mounted on the tower. Tower and
transmitter equipment locations are shown on drawing S-1. Input signal
for transmitter signal will be obtained from an Interface Breakout
Pannel located in building T-252 (next to the tower). All exterior
building penetrations must be thoroughy sealed to withstand rain blown
by 120 MPH winds. All cable to be UL listed. Antenna and exterior
cable must be able to withstand 120 MPH winds. All mounting equipment
to be suitable for a high humidity, high salt air environment. All
metal are to be protected from rusting. Freezing temperatures are not
experienced at this site, so there are no ice loads. Mounting and
grounding of antenna and cables are to be accomplished by using best
commercial practices. After installation is complete,contractor shall
test entire system, to ensure safe and proper performance of system.
Minimum 1 year guarantee on materials and workmanship of receiver
spares, beginning after system is successfully installed and tested.
Delivery time: Equipment and material to be delivered within 120 days
from award date. Installation and testing to be complete within 140
days of award date. Award shall be made on or about 29 Sep 97. Delivery
will be to 65 SUPS/LGSGS, FB4486 UNIT 8005, APO, AE 09720-8005, Lajes
Feild Azores,Portugal. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, instruction to
Offerors-Commercial, apply the following:PROPOSAL COVER SHEET (SF 1449)
SHALL BE SIGNED AND DATED AND SHALL CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING: SOLICITATION
NUMBER, TIME SPECIFIED FOR RECEIPT OF OFFERS, NAME, ADDRESS, AND
TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE OFFER, TERMS OF ANY EXPRESS WARRANTY; REMIT TO
ADDRESS, IF DIFFERENT THAN THE MAILING ADDRESS, AND DESCRIPTIVE
LITERATURE OFFERS SHALL ALSO CONTAIN ALL OTHER DOCUMENTATION SPECIFIED
HEREIN.Offers shall include three (3) sets of manufacturers literature
providing technical specifications, physical specification and
performance characteristics for every component in proposal. Offers
shall include a list of previous MMDS systems installed by the
contractor or sub-contractor; list shall include a point of contact for
each system installed. Offers shall include a statement specifying the
extent of agreement with all terms, conditions, and provisions
included in this solicitation. Offers that fail to furnish required
representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of
the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. Provision at
52212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, insert the following : The
Goverment will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the
responsible offeror whose offer on this solicitation is the lowest
technically acceptable price. All Goverment minimum needs as stated
above for 5 Channel MMDS Wireless Cable Broadcast System (Items 0001
thru 0004) will be evaluated. OFFERORS SHALL INCLUDE A COMPLETE COPY OF
THE PROVISION AT FAR 52.212-3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND
CERTIFICATIONS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS WITH THEIR OFFER. Offerors can obtain
the SF 1449, representations and certifications and commercial items
