The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for the repair and overhaul of VH-3D/VH-60N repairable components. This effort also entails performing depot maintenance on the aircraft for over and above special progressive aircraft rework requirements and providing necessary VH-3D/VH-60N spare components. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the sole designer and manufacturer of the VH-3D and VH-60N executive helicopter and is the only known firm which possesses the knowledge, expertise and adequate technical data needed to conduct the effort described above.
