The contractor will furnish mobilization, and an estimated quantities of 24,200 linear feet of trenching (common) backfilling & compacting; 1,500 linear feet of trenching (rock) backfilling & compacting; 19,300 linear feet of PVC pipe, class 160, 1 1/2 inch; 6,400 of PVC pipe, schedule 40, l 1/2 inch; 5 curb stop valve assembly 1 inch; 6 air relief valve assembly; 5 hydrant assembly. The contractor will have 40 days to complete the project after the notice to proceed is issued. Solicitation is a Request for Quotations and will be awarded on a purchase order approximately October 7, 1997. In accordance with Public Law 103-355 (FASA), for awarded contracts between $25,000 and $100,000, a 50% payment protection will be required in the form of either: 1) an irrevocable letter of credit, 2)a payment bond, or 3) certificate of deposit, will be required within fifteen calendar days after receipt of notification of award.
