SMALL PACKAGE DELIVERY/TRANSPORTATION SERVICE The Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, New York (POC: Richard Barton, 518-462-3311, X2614) is in the process of negotiating a one year agreement for small package delivery/transportation service with United Parcel Service and Roadway Package System, Inc. The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the only two available sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by September 20, 1997 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposed of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
