15 -- PIONEER UAV PAYLOAD WITH LASER DESIGNATOR DEMONSTRATION POC Frank Fisher, Contract Specialist, (301) 757-5906 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a fixed price delivery order under NAVAIR Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-95-G-0203 for the demonstration of a laser designator/range finder fitted to the latest PIONEER UAV Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) payload. The effort will include all necessary engineering to integrate and interface the laser designator with the PIONEER UAV payload and the PIONEER UAV System and to support the laser demonstration. NAVAIR intends to negotiate the proposed delivery order on a sole source basis with Pioneer UAV, Inc (PUI), Hunt Valley, MD. PUI is the prime contractor for contracting for the PIONEER UAV. Only PUI has access to the necessary drawings, proprietary data and technical expertise necessary to perform the required effort. See Note No. 22 and 27. (0230)
