D -- SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE RENEWAL SOL DMCUMW98MP00035 DUE 090297 POC Darlene Cutler, 618-256-9697 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Computer Technology Division, Procurement Branch (DTS42) intends to issue a sole source contract to SAS Institute, SAS Campus Drive, Cary, NC 27513-2414, for the acquisition of software maintenance for the following proprietary products: SAS Base System 2000; System 2000 CICS, system 2000 Multi-User, Base SAS, and SAS/STAT. This software product is currently installed on equipment located at the DMC ; Dayton, Wright Patterson AFB OH. Period of performance for the maintenance is 1 Oct 97 through 30 Sep 98. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Companies who can provide the above listed software maintenance must indicate their interest within 15 days of this announcement. Any party interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation shall provide written notice to the Contracting Office. Datafax requests to 618-256-9414 are acceptable. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotations/proposals received in response to this notice, since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotations/Proposals.
