D -- SOFTWARE SUPPORT SOL F25600-98-Q5138 POC Gerald Chamberlen (402) 294-9568, FAX (402) 294-7280 The Government intends to award an order using simplified acquisition procedures on a sole source basis (via a request for quote) to Microsoft Corporation, Premier Sales, 2118 Water Ridge Parkway, Charlotte, North Carolina 28217, to provide United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) J64, Offutt AFB NE, technical and engineering support services for the Office Automation (OA) Local Area Network (LAN). The contractor shall provide "on-line" telephone support, dedicated technical support, conversion planning, life-cycle management, and compatibility resolutions for Microsoft products associated with the USSTRATCOM OA LAN. Contractor shall be capable of handling calls 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Contractor's efforts shall provide up to 150 incidents. Included are access to the Microsoft Premier Web site, a secure, exclusive Web area for customized information, special product information bulletins, service pack and hotfix notification from Microsoft Development, trouble shooting tools and guides, and access to Microsoft's third-party driver database. Systems include MS Windows 95, MS Windows NT Workstations, MS Office for Windows 95 (Standard), MS Visual Basic Professional for Windows 95, Visual C++ Pro for Windows 95, MS Access for Windows 95, MS Exchange Server, MS SQL Server for Windows NT, MS Windows NT Server, MS Project for Windows 95, SMS Server, MS Backoffice Client, and MS Backoffice Server. Period of performance will be from 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998. This is a sole source procurement with Microsoft Corporation. Note 22 applies.
