54 -- PREFABRICATED COMMUNICATIONS MANHOLES POC Patty O'Brien, Contracting Officer, (910) 396-0554. JSOC is conducting a market survey for sources for communications manholes compatible with the existing compound system architecture. The manhole must be manufactured under rigid specification described in the Bell Systems Practices Manual, Section 622-500-011, Issue 4, dated December 1975. The manholes must be 8' x 8' x 8' (an 8 foot cube) with lockable 36" x 9" I.D. collar, pulling eyes opposite duct banks and cast in place plastic sump, and six each 6" knockouts on each side above the centerline. Sources must express their interest in writing by mail only. Only those responses which provide descriptive literature that substantiates the ability to meet all the above requirements will be included in any potential vendors list. Firms with experience in the areas above should provide a summary of their company's capabilities within 15 days of this publication to JSOC J4C, Patty O'Brien, P.O.
