202/435-6940 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation which will be
accomplished in accordance with the Small Acquisitions Procedures. The
following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clauses are applicable
unless otherwise noted: FAR Part 52.212-1 and 52.212-4; 52.212-1(b)(8)
is deleted. The associated standard industrial classification code
(SIC) is 7521; size standard is $5.0 million. This action is 100% small
business set-aside. This announcement constitutes the only
solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation
package will not be issued. Solicitation number 97-Q-25 is issued as a
request for quotations. All references to "offerors" are understood to
be "Quotations". The solicitation document and incorporated provisions
and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
90-46. Award will be made to one offeror who fully meets requirements
for the parking spaces. This is a firm fixed price requirement for
twelve (12) van parking spaces. The parking spaces must be within two
(2) block radius of the U. S. Secret Service Headquarters building
located at 1800 G Street, NW. The exact boundaries should be : North --
H Street; South -- E Street; East -- 17th Street; West -- 20th Street.
The garage should be a clearance of at least 7 feet, 2 inches in order
to accommodate all vans. The parking must be an indoor garage with
access/egress control (attendant) during operating hours. Twenty-four
(24) hour access may be by any means (attendant, key card, key, etc.,
at no additional cost to the Government). The garage must be available
for Secret Service use seven (7) days per week; twenty-four (24) hours
per day, 365/366 days per year. Self-parking capability is required.
Standard commercial garages are acceptable. The garage must be suitable
for vehicular parking with appropriate exhaust fume ventilation. The
garage parking space must be clean and free of rubbish and garbage on
the floor and in parking spaces. The garage parking space must be free
from mice and rats, snakes and other unsafe rodents. The garage
parking space must be free of water standing in floor parking area. The
garage must be well lighted for security reasons. Services are provided
to U. S. Secret Service, AOD/Property Section, 1800 G Street, NW, Room
728, Washington, DC, 20223, F.O.B. Destination. The period of
performance is from October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998.
Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. The Government
intends to award a contract, to the responsible offeror whose quotation
conforming to the specifications will be the most advantageous price to
the Government. The Government anticipates an award date on or about
August 30, 1997. Please note: Quotes submitted by FAX will not be
accepted. All responsible offerors shall mail quotes to the U. S.
Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310 L Street, NW., Suite 730,
Washington, DC, 20223, ATTN: Renea Morton; before 3:00 PM, August 25,
1997. Proposals are subject to x-ray by the U. S. Secret Service,
therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit proposals prior to the
established date and time for closing to ensure timely arrival in the
appropriate office. The Government will not be responsible for any
costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. See
