Keammerlen, Contracting Officer The scope of work includes development of a Regional Network for Financing Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, exploring the availability of financing tools and sources for efficiency and renewable energy in a competitive market (i.e. assuming restructuring occurs). The awardee will be required to prepare a white paper summarizing available sources of, and tools for, financing efficiency and renewables in the buildings sector (including building equipment), with a focus on residential and small commercial buildings. With this information as a foundation, the awardee will sponsor a regional workshop during the first quarter of calendar year 1998, that will bring together representatives of government, the energy service industry (which is considered for purposes of this exercise to include the utility industry), the financial services industry, and other relevant parties to explore the sources of and tools for financing energy efficiency and renewable energy in a restructured environment. The emphasis shall be on exploration and development of practical, useful information for policy makers and energy service market participants.
