This procurement is for the operation and maintenance of the Palm Valley Bridge, Palm Valley, FL, located 20 miles south of Jacksonville, FL, on state road 210, Intracoastal Waterway, St. Johns County, FL. The operation and maintenance of the bridge includes bridge tending services, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs. The contractor shall provide at least one person on duty at the bridge at all times and have a bridge tender supervisor available twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. The basic contract period will begin on or about 1 October 1997 and continue thru 30 September 1998. There will be four one-year option periods following the basic contract period.
