tdowner@email.usps.gov. The U.S. Postal Service will prequalify
suppliers for our "Desktop Post Office" (DTPO) program. Using Web
enabled technology, DTPO is the integration of postal customer support
applications that either currently exist, are being developed, or will
be developed in the future. The purpose is to provide a system that
integrates many of the postal customer support applications into a user
"workbench" environment using internet technology. Using internet
technology, USPS is developing the capability to provide a convenient
and secure means of moving money, messages, and merchandise. The U.S.
Postal Service is soliciting project leadership and technical services
of an applications integration contractor to include applications
development work. The selected Contractor shall offer proven leadership
and technical support capability in developing secure internet payment
applications and shall also offer proven leadership and technical
support capability in development of parcel shipping and manifesting
applications. This procurement will be competed among a list of
pre-qualified suppliers. Teaming and/or use of subcontractors in order
to offer the most qualified resources is encouraged. To download
